Instructions:
In a group, you will create a brochure about one of our solar system’s planets. Your brochure should provide information for aliens from another galaxy who want to visit our solar system. Planets will be assigned to groups on a first come, first serve basis. You may pick who you want to work with on this project. You may have a maximum of THREE people per group.
Your brochure must contain the following items:
Basic facts about your planet (average distance from the sun, size, composition, length of a day, length of a year, number of moons, etc.)
A picture of your planet
Attractions in visiting your planet
Hazards involved in visiting your planet
Information about how people on Earth have learned about the planet (have we sent spacecraft to take photos of the planet, sent spacecraft that can land on the planet, etc.)
At least 3 references (your textbook may count as at least one source)
Your brochure will be graded on the following basis:
¬Contains all required components: 25%
¬3 valid sources: 5% each (15% total)
¬Accuracy of information: 40%
¬Neatness and creativity: 20%
