TASK:
You have been selected by a local doctor to design a genetic disease brochure for her office. She asked that you select a genetic disease that would present information for patient education. The brochure should be designed so that it can be folded into thirds and displayed in her waiting room. You may work in groups of 3 or less to complete your research.
PROCEDURE:
1. Once you are given your genetic disease, you will research and collect information on the disease.
2. Answer ALL questions about your disease:
You will answer the question and then cite where you received the information. If you got your information from the internet, copy and paste the web address.
3. Use the following template on the back to create a brochure about your disease
4. Hand in Brochure when finished.

Each day nearly 600 babies are born in the Unites States with some type of disorder. Some of these disorders are inherited. For Example, people can be born with more or less than 46 chromosomes. Also, sometimes they do have 46 chromosomes but one of them is carrying an abnormal gene that causes a disease. Let's look at a few of them.
